1 - 5 February 2024 | Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur
The Outreach Programme is an extension of the Jaipur Literature Festival and focuses around taking a slice of the overarching JLF experience to children. Outreach is the medium of spreading the joy of reading, literature, and the myriad forms that literature and the written word takes in our lives. Starting with barely five institutions in 2011, it has grown over the years along with the main Jaipur Literature Festival. Every year many invited Indian and foreign speakers participate in the Outreach Programme. JLF Outreach has become an essential part of almost every school, non-profit run children center and even many colleges during this time of the year. The Outreach has already reached over 60 thousand children during these years.
This is the 14th edition of the Outreach Programme. This year Outreach begins on 23rd January in Delhi, continues in Jaipur and concludes on 5th February travelling to 30 institutions in Delhi NCR and over 80 institutions in Jaipur, touching hearts, inspiring minds and bringing smiles to approximately 10 thousand children! The JLF Outreach Programme is jointly managed by Teamwork Arts, producers of the Jaipur Literature Festival, the largest literary festival in the world, and Pratham Books, one of the world's best known non-profit children's publishers. This year is special for Pratham Books, as it has just turned 20 in January, and it continues to spread the joy of reading among children everywhere.
