Who are the organisers of JLF?

The Festival Directors are Namita Gokhale and William Dalrymple and the Festival is produced by Teamwork Arts, which produces over 23 highly acclaimed performing arts, visual arts and literary festivals in Australia, Canada, Egypt, Hong Kong, South Africa, the United Kingdom, USA and many more. (

What are the dates of the Festival?

The dates of the Jaipur Literature festival are 25-29 January 2018.
Jaipur BookMark, the B2B initiative of the festival will be held on 24 January 2018.

Where is the Jaipur Literature Festival held?

The Festival is held at the beautiful heritage haveli property – Diggi Palace in Jaipur, India.

Is JLF organised anywhere else?

Besides the flagship festival in Jaipur, JLF has editions in the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The May edition is held at London’s British Library and the September edition takes place at Boulder Public Library in Boulder, Colorado.

Where can I check the schedule?

The schedule will be posted on our website on the ‘Programme’ page. The schedule will be released closer to the time of the Festival. A list of attending speakers is released sooner. Do keep checking the website for regular updates. Please note that the programme is subject to change.

How many speakers and artistes are featured at JLF?

The Jaipur Literature Festival features over 250 speakers and over 100 artistes each year.

Can I reserve seats at a session for my friend/family/acquaintance?

No, we do not allow nor encourage reservation of seats at any session.

Can I purchase a ticket to the Festival Opening Reception/Writers’ Ball?

No, the Opening Reception and Writers’ Ball invites are not for sale. Both are “By Invitation Only” events.

Can I get an invite to the Festival Opening Reception/Writer’s Ball?

No, the guest lists for the Opening Reception and the Writers’ Ball are pre-determined by the Festival Producers and Directors.
