Yamini Aiyer

Yamini is the President and Chief Executive of the Center for Policy Research, one of India’s leading think tanks. Yamini’s work sits at the intersections of research and policy practice. Her research spans the field of social policy (education, health and social protection), governance and State capacity, federalism and the study of contemporary politics in India.In 2008, Yamini found the Accountability Initiative at the Centre for Policy Research. The initiative is credited with pioneering one of India’s largest expenditure tracking surveys for elementary education. Yamini has published widely in academic journals and the popular press. In addition, she serves on a number of government policy committees and boards of non-profits and think tanks. Yamini is an aluma of the London School of Economics, St. Edmund's College, Cambridge University and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
