Barney White-Spunner

Barney White-Spunner is the author of Partition: The Story of Indian Independence and the Creation of Pakistan in 1947. It is now an international bestseller and tells the story of 1947 month by month, examining in particular the governmental and military failings. His previous books include Horse Guards: The Military, Political and Social History of the British Household Cavalry and Of Living Valour: The Story of the Soldiers Who Fought at Waterloo. Sir White-Spunner is a former soldier who commanded the British Field Army.
