Don’t miss this exclusive JLF attendee event! Here’s your chance to hike to our Boulder Chautauqua’s Lower Meadow Loop Trail underneath the iconic Flatirons and enjoy breakfast and discussions at the Historic Boulder Chautauqua Dining Hall with two guest authors, well known Polar and World Explorers/Adventurers, John Huston and Odd Harald Hague. Both John and Odd have lead many expeditions to the North and South Poles as well as Greenland and Mt. Everest among other challenging destinations. A Boulder Park’s Naturalist will accompany the hike to talk about the ecology and history of the Front Range, and you will have opportunity to talk and ask questions of our Guest Author Explorers, John and Odd, at brunch! Hike level: Easy
- Cost – $35 + $2.50 processing fee, all inclusive – limit 20 participants
** Tickets sales close at 11:59pm on September 10th.
- Hike and breakfast lasts 2.5 hours – from 8:00am-10:30am.
Meet at the Ranger Station of Chautauqua Park (9th Street and Baseline Road).
- The hike leaves the Ranger Station promptly at 8:00am.
*For out of town guests, a shuttle will leave the Boulderado Hotel at 7:30am.
- *Locals, parking near or at Chautauqua is challenging. Parking at Chautauqua and nearby may require a fee. Please leave plenty of time for 8:00am hike departure.
