Sheoraj Singh Bechain is a writer and poet. He is the recipient of the National Subramaniam Bharti Award, the National Sahitya Bhushan Award, among eight other awards. His bestselling autobiography, Mera Bachpan Mere Kandhon Par, has been translated into English, Marathi, Punjabi and Urdu. His other works include four poetry collections, two short story collections, five volumes on criticism and two published works of research. He also writes columns for several daily newspapers and magazines such as Hans, Katha Desh, Paakhi and Yudhrath AamAdmi. He currently works as a professor in the Hindi Department at the University of Delhi.
